My Second Book:

So, as I mentioned on the previous page, "we cannot hope to have healthy people unless society is healthy".  My second book was titled Holistic Government. Unfortunately it is no longer in print as the publishing house suffered a flood and all was lost. I would like to make a few comments about the content of this book.

The Way Back Home:

It may be hard to imagine but America has been under seige since day one. We have fought wars with the British and the French. We celebrate the Fourth of July as if we had won a permanent victory but our victories were fragile and transient. The shooting may have stopped but the war is not over; it has only changed form. Warfare can be economic, it can be psychological, it can be political and it can take other forms. We have lost  America on many fronts.

Here I would like to point out that an empire have different directions. It is important to understand this difference. An empire always seeks to consolidate everything and centralize power. For a system of sovereign republics to function properly there must be checks and balances. Power must be decentralized and therefore the goal is to keep things smaller with local control. As we have seen in recent years there has been a lot of consolidation going on. For a while the corporate world even referred to this as merger mania. This was for the most part a theft of Americas infrastructure.

In order to reverse the process - there must be a deliberate process of decentraalization of many aspects of society.

Since many things were accomplished because of a deception on the part

Holistic Government

Since this is no longer in print - I will summarize my ideas here. I think that I have made the distinction between an empire and a sovereign republic and how these ideas are mutually exclusive.

I have also tried to make clear that they must - by nature - follow different sets of rules. The empire sees everything as business and has an obscession with success. A republic is ideally a government of, by and for the people and therefore has the goal of furthering the common good while preserving individual rights.

I see America as the prototype and the blueprint for holistic government. We must therefore follow a different set of rules than an empire. If we allow cheating and lying to become the norm then this system cannot survive. The opposite is true in an empire. In an empire the rule is that "all is fair in love and war". This cannot be tolerated in a republic because here everything depends on mutual trust and respect.

To reflect on how this happened. I have come to two conclusions. I have talked of a fatal flaw in western logic. We had a choice about how to approach social interactions; we could see them as a competition or we could learn to cooperate with one another. Competition is eaasier and we have chosen to glamorize competition and denigrate cooperation. This choice had many adverse consequences. As I explain in my review of alternative medical practices of the orient; there is a more holistic approach in the east. For example the idea of Yin and Yang in China is an effort to seek balance and harmony. This is not necessary in the west; we simply vanquish the enemy and then stop thinking about it. I think that the holistic approach is better. It is more difficult because it requires tolerance of different ideas and cooperation to find a solution acceptable to all involved.

Another difficult dilemma is the fact that the empire is our parent country. Initially we were colonies of England, France, Spain etc.. Like teenagers - we must learn to be independent and free. In many cases parents have a hard time to let their children free to be sovereign adults. So it is with countries. Our parent (The Empire) has become a giant corporate, global conglomerate. They want us to be a good child and give up our dreams of self determination to become part of their business. As good children, we are distressed by this decision we need to make. We can follow their imperial business model or we can lead the world to a new age of individual rights; with peace and prosperity. It is often easier to move back home with mommy and daddy. We do not want to upset them and damage our "special relationship".

America has been hijacked:

We must understand that if we hope to live in a world where human rights are respected then truth and justice are essential. In such a system - government must be transparent. What is the value of voting when we have no right to know what our government is doing in our names. Therefore, government secrecy cannot be tolerated in a system of sovereign republics.

Therefore, one essential step to restore our republic would be to declassify all government doccuments and to have real investigative  journalism in a process of understanding our own past.
